Promotion of Communal Harmony and Strengthening fraternity and national integration has truly become national imperatives. The national Foundation for communal harmony (NFCH) observes the communal harmony campaign and the fund raising week from November 19th to 25th.
Besides promotion of communal harmony and national integration through a basket of activities one of principal activities of the NFCH is rehabilitation of children rendered orphan or destitute in caste, communal, ethnic, and terrorist or any kind of violence the fractures social harmony.
Considering the objectives of HFCH, we at our College celebrate and involve all concerned, especially students and teachers in the observance of the Communal Harmony Campaign Week for spreading the message of Communal Harmony and in fund raising effort for the NFCH.
During the week we organize intensive Campaign for sensitizing students and teachers about the need for fostering communal harmony, national integration & fraternity through seminars, essay competition, drawing contests, elocution competitions & cultural activities.
Depicting the colours of the rainbow SATRANG is the literary and cultural week of the College which provides a platform to the students to show case their talent and creativity.
Organised under the literary and cultural wing of the College SPArC (Society for Promotion of Art and Culture) SATRANG offers a casket of multi coloured flowers in the form of different competitions and activities to the students:-
ADAKARI - a skit and monoacting competition
STROKES - a painting, sketch and collage competition cum exhibition
ENIGMA - a quiz competition
VICHARVAR - a debate & Jam competition
JHANAK - a classical & folkdance competition
SUR SANGAT - a singing competition
SATRANG - 09
Organised from Dec 14th 2009 to Dec 19th 2009
SATRANG was a huge success with around 225 students participated in different competitions, this high budget event was an all student affair, which was organised by the 15 member student committee of SPArC with Co-operation and support from 40 student volunteers. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Lakshmi Sree Banerjee, Hon’ble Pro-Vice Chancellor, Kolhan University where as Dr. Syed Safdar Razi, Registrar, Kolhan University wea the Chief guest during the closing ceremony.
SATRANG - 10
Organised from Jan 11 to Jan 13, 2011. The event was a huge sucess with around 250 students participating in different events. This huge event was completely organised and managed by the student Committee of SPArc under the student secretary Nida Zakari. The event was Inaugurated by the Principal and Col.Rafi Shaikh and Mr. Vincent Athaide, Secretary and Mamber of College Governng Body were the guests in the closing ceremony.
This year three new events, We the Poet, JAM (just a minute), and JHANAK (Classical solo and Folk) was added.
In all 36 first and second prizes were given to the students
